Mindful Beginnings

I have experienced great joy and growth through creating and running this site, and I’m happy to know that it makes a difference in peoples’ lives.

From an early age, before I could even articulate the concept of ‘mindfulness’, I strove for a sense of peace, ease, and balance in my daily life.  As a lifelong student of meditation, it has become increasingly apparent to me the need to make mindfulness accessible ~ and applicable ~ to the masses.  Mindfulness is for everyone, not just the monk on the mountaintop!  The Chinese character for mindfulness is derived from the words “presence” and “heart.” Mindfulness is a natural state of being, that anyone and everyone can leverage to make their own lives, and the lives of others, better.  It is pure awareness, a stillness of mind and heart.

Our world today is so demanding and full of distractions that it has become vital that we, as individuals, learn to incorporate mindful practice into our modern lives.  The Mindful Now is here to provide modern souls with simple steps, gentle reminders, and loving support in their journey.

You may be wondering how you can give back to The Mindful Now…

Some of you may want to give back to The Mindful Now and help to support the further spread of mindfulness in our modern world. There are many simple ways you can help. Whether you choose to show your support via Facebook or Twitter, make a donation, share your thoughts on my blog posts, or simply read and leave feeling inspired, all forms of support are greatly appreciated and even the smallest gesture helps.

6. Make a Donation
I currently finance this site independently and I devote numerous hours a week to writing and editing posts. Your donation will help me dedicate even more time to The Mindful Now to spread the simple ways that we can all incorporate mindfulness into our modern lives.

Your donation helps to:
~ Finance server costs, and allow for site enhancements and upgrades.
~ Allow for more and stronger content as I have more time to write and edit.

You can donate any amount that fits your budget – $5, $25, $50. Whatever feels best for you. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and helps The Mindful Now to grow and reach more people seeking mindful guidance for their busy modern soul.

Namaste,

Cris
